Bewitched, bothered and bewildered about having a financial plan for yourself, family, company or not-for-profit organization? Most likely you already have one.

Either you designed the plan or an investment firm broker, insurance company agent or financial intermediary provided one, or a plan has already been designed for you by some federal tax law, state tax law, IRS rule or some other tax regulation.

Some have an excellent plan in place, some need a bit of work and some have a plan that is simply not appropriate.

If you simply do a little homework, use search engines, point, click and read you can then formulate a plan for yourself or for your organization.

Alternatively, there are literally tens of thousands of fee based investment advisors, investment brokers and insurance company agents which are very capable of providing financial planning services. And, we might add, some provide outstanding plans coupled with excellent product and superior services.

Some financial commentators argue that plans written by commission based brokers or agents lack objectivity since compensation for their time, effort and work is based on the sale of some specific product. Frankly, we don’t necessarily agree with that totally; but, we would be foolish not to acknowledge that there are cases where total objectivity was lacking. However, on the other hand, we also think that a reasonable observer could argue that total objectivity is always lacking from everyone; including financial publishers, radio-TV commentators, not for profit advisors, etc. Everyone has a vested interested, directly or indirectly, one way or another.
